I’m definitely a late bloomer when it comes to wearing makeup. I don’t wear it everyday, but every now and then I like to experiment with different glam or neutral looks. My makeup stash has grown so much since I’ve started to wear it more. I have a drawer full of products that I absolutely love, but today I’m sharing with you what’s in my makeup bag for July. These are the products that I tend to grab more frequently than the rest! They are definitely my go-to makeup products.

Makeup Bag

FOUNDATION- I have been using Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage foundation for years now, and it is hands down my favorite foundation. I have a few more foundations in my collection, but I always come back to this one. I am in the shade F13. This shade is a shade for medium/dark skin tones with yellow undertones. This foundation matches my my skin perfectly. I like that this foundation is oil free and has a demi-matte finish. I have combination skin, and tend to get really oily in my t-zone, but with this foundation my oil is controlled.

BLUSH- There are a handful of blushes that I like, but this blush by Beauty Bakerie in the shade La Vida Mocha is such a beautiful universal shade. This shade is found in their Coffee & Cocoa Palette, which has rich earth toned colors. This blush is pigmented and gives my skin a nice wash of color.

PRIMER- For the longest I would skip this step in my makeup routine because the primers I would use would leave my makeup looking cakie or I would crease really bad. Instead of using a cream primer, I opt for a primer water. My favorite is the Wet n Wild’s PhotoFocus Rose 3-in-1 Primer. It leaves my skin hydrated and it is perfect for prepping the skin for my makeup application.

BROW PENCIL- I usually draw in my eyebrows daily. I have tried so many brow pencils, but the one I go back to every single time is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, in the shade Dark Brown. This brow pencil is pricey, so I have tried to find dupes, but none have matched the consistency of this brow pencil. I feel this brow pencil is very easy to work with and makes my brows look natural.

CONCEALER- I finally tried the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and instantly fell in love with it. I use the shade Tan Deep Sand to highlight with. The formula is perfect and gives me the perfect coverage. It blends really well and gives my skin a smooth blurred appearance.

MASCARA-  I barely have any real lashes, so when it comes to mascara I don’t expect a whole lot. BUT… the L’Oréal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara lengthens my “little bitty” lashes! The brush is designed so you can precisely coat each lash with the mascara. This mascara makes my lashes existent. It is also easy to apply to the bottom lash line.

SETTING POWDER- My go-to setting powder is another Beauty Bakerie find. I have been using their Flour Powder in the shade Yellow for years. This powder is perfect for setting my concealer. I like how fine this setting powder is and it gives my face smooth finish. It is camera ready, as it doesn’t give any flashback!

HIGHLIGHTERS- I remember a time when I wouldn’t wear highlighters because my skin already had a glow of its own– and not a good one–OILY! Once I found the right products for my oily skin, I started wearing highlighter. My go-to highlighter is by Fenty Beauty in the shades, Girl Next Door and Chic Phreak. This shade gives me the perfect glow.
