#BuyBlack: My Favorite Black-Owned Natural Hair Brands

by | Jul 13, 2020 | Natural Hair

With the recent events that have taken place: the rise of the Black Lives Matter Movement, the death of George Floyd, and the protests against police brutality, I think it is necessary to highlight Black-owned businesses. According to ESSENCE, Black buying power is close to $1.3 trillion dollars! With that being said our BLACK dollar matters! I think it is important to support our own and use our hard-earned money to support these Black-owned businesses. A way to build Black wealth in our community is by encouraging Black people to spend their money with Black-owned companies. Supporting these businesses will help circulate Black dollars in our community and is a win-win for everybody.

Today I wanted to highlight some amazing Black-owned natural hair brands that have created hair products that have worked amazing for my natural hair. From the very beginning of my natural hair journey, I have always supported Black-owned brands. When it came to purchasing hair products for my hair, I wanted to make sure the products were for us and by us.

I have been a long time consumer of many of these Black-owned natural hair brands. There are also some brands that I have just became aware of, but have fell in love with their products. Here is a list of my favorite Black-owned hair brands.

  1. Camile Rose
  2. Mielle Organics
  3. Alikay Naturals
  4. Tailored Beauty
  5. Miche Beauty
  6. Girl + Hair
  7. Eden Bodyworks
  8. Bask and Bloom

I created a video on my Youtube Channel, expressing why I love these Black-owned natural hair brands.
