How to Create the Perfect Coffee Bar at Home

I am a coffee lover at heart. Something about a strong cup of coffee in the morning, just makes my day go right. Previously, I used to spend countless dollars at Starbucks on coffee, but now I have finally found a way to make coffee right at home, just the way I like it. With that, I decided to make a coffee bar right in my own home. Today, I’m sharing how to create the perfect coffee bar at home.

CHOOSE A LOCATION

The location I chose to create my perfect coffee bar was on my kitchen countertop. I have lots of counter space, so I chose a cornered area in my kitchen. This also allowed me to position my Keurig in the corner, so it could look aesthetically pleasing.

Having your coffee bar on a kitchen countertop also gives you the advantage of being close to the water supply and the cream/milk supply. I would recommend at least 2 feet of countertop space to create your perfect coffee bar in your home. This will allow space for your coffee maker, a small mug collection, and any other decor to make your coffee bar perfect.

Here are some other locations you could consider:

TABLETOP
UNCONVENTIONAL LOCATION

ADD DECOR ITEMS

Once you find your perfect location, it’s time to pick out decor items. Depending on your theme I would opt for items that flow well with the location of choice. My kitchen vibes give off “farmhouse-modern-chic”. I have little aspects of whitewash that gives it that farmhouse feel, but I also have elements of black, white, and grey to give it that modern feel. And since this is a house full of girls, the vibe is always “chic!” Here are my must-have items that I purchased to make my coffee bar perfect!

TRAY

A coffee tray is essential to house all of your coffee essentials. I opted for a table decor tray from Hobby Lobby. The dimensions for the tray are 15.75×9.875x4in.

MUG STORAGE

I purchased a set of four white and black stacking mugs. It goes perfectly with my theme and fits perfectly in the space. There are so many ideas for mug storage. You can also hang a cute wall mug rack, or use a cabinet to store your mugs.

SIGNS

I decided to add two signs to my coffee bar. The first sign is attached to the wall. It has additional hooks, where I could possibly hang more mugs, but I decided not to. I love the saying “My Cup Runneth Over.” It ties in coffee and my Christianity perfectly. My other sign also has a religious aspect to it. It reads, “Fueled by Coffee and Jesus.” Tying in my Christianity was important for me. I always start the day with prayer and coffee so this fits my space perfectly!

STORAGE CONTAINERS

I also incorporated two ceramic containers to store cream and sugar. This is especially convenient for when I have guests. Everything will be in that one area for my guests to indulge in their perfect cup of coffee.

OTHER MISCELANEOUS DECOR

I also purchased a decor item that says, “Home Sweet Home.” It is black and white and added an accent of gold to the tray. I plan to add some fresh flowers right beside my Keurig to make the space even more perfect.

My at-home coffee bar came out absolutely perfect! How do you like it?
