30 Things You Can do When You’re SINGLE on Valentine’s Day!

It’s February and we are on the brink of Valentine’s Day! Although some people may view Valentine’s Day as an unnecessary holiday, I can’t wait to celebrate it! I know you’re probably thinking, she likes Valentine’s Day because she must be in a happy and loving relationship, well THINK AGAIN! I will be single on Valentine’s Day!

It’s easy to get jealous or frustrated if you’re single on Valentine’s Day, especially since all the happy couples will be sharing their lovey-dovey photos on social media. But don’t worry I GOT you!!! I have compiled 30 things you can do when you’re single on Valentine’s Day!

1 Go on a “date” with a single friend.  Spend time with one of your close friends. Dress up, go to dinner, and have lots of laughs.

2 Spa day. Treat yourself to a luxurious, relaxing spa day. Get the works done: massage, facial, pedi and mani. Enjoy all of your “me-time!”

3 Splurge. Buy something you have been eyeing for a long time. You are worth it!

4 Order Take-Out from you favorite restaurant and enjoy it while sipping your favorite wine or watching your favorite television show.

5 Pamper yourself with fresh flowers and chocolates. You deserve it!

6 Plan a self-care day. Take a relaxing bubble bath while listening to your favorite tunes, put on your favorite face mask, or polish your nails.

7 Cuddle up with a good book. Get cozy with some wine and get  your “READ” on.

8 Netflix and Chill. Catch up on your favorite Netflix series, or have a movie marathon.

9 Secret Cupid Gift Exchange. It’s like Secret Santa, but for Valentine’s Day. Pull names in advance and gather together to exchange gifts.

10 Sign up on a dating website. Swipe and flirt.

11 Unplug from social media. Valentine’s Day posts may spark unwanted emotions. Unplug with it all and focus on yourself.

12 Celebrate Galentines. Grab a few of your “gals” and plan a day celebrating friendship.

13 Cook a romantic dinner for your loved ones (kids, parents, siblings, etc.).

14 Take yourself out to eat. Sit at the bar, order your favorite cocktail(s) and enjoy a delicious dessert.

15 Bake your favorite desserts. I usually  bake Valentine’s Day cookies with my kids, or challenge yourself to bake a dessert you’ve never baked before. Enjoy!

16 Host a single’s only dinner party. Invite all of your single friends and toast to your independence!

17 Go to a Karaoke bar. Nothing like grabbing a drink and singing your heart out!

18 Babysit for a couple who wants to go out. Plans some fun activities with the kiddies and enjoy their company!

19 Wine and dine movie theaters. Enjoy a movie and restaurant rolled into one.

20 Take a trip. Plan a weekend getaway. It is always nice to go solo, or share the experience with a friend/family member.

21 Wine tasting. Find a local vineyard or wine bar. This a fun way to feel fancy without spending a lot of money. I call it being “bougie on a budget!”

22 Host a game night. Invite “singles” and “couples”. Play games like Taboo, Poker, Monopoly, or Black Card Revoked. This is sure to bring out some friendly competition and definitely bring in some laughter.

23 Do something you love.

24 Exercise. Sweat a little and reap the physical and emotional benefits of exercise.

25 Spend time with family.

26 Take a class. Try something new, like pottery, crafting or cycling.

27 Sip and Paint. Find a local painting class. Sign up. Show up. Sip up. PAINT!

28 Try a new restaurant. It’s always exciting trying new food and create new experiences.

29 Go to a comedy show or stream a comedy special on Netflix. Laughter is good for the soul!

30 Love yourself. Don’t buy into the idea that you need another person to be happy. Self-love is the best love! Remember, you are deserving of real love and your time is coming!
